Lynn Penner-Ash has quite an impressive resumé of past winemaking gigs before starting her own brand, Penner-Ash, including Stag's Leap Wine Cellars in Napa and Rex Hill in Oregon. She also served on the board of the International Pinot Noir Celebration from 1996-2002, and acted as President in 1998. This particular yearly event is the most important Pinot Noir tasting in the world. This Dussin 2006 was aged for 10 months in 30% new French oak, 35% one year-old French oak and 35% in two year-old French oak. It is balanced and fine with aromas of dried rose petals, baked cherry pie and spices and flavors of sweet vanilla, blackberry and chocolate.
